Lobster Pots
This is a print of the very first Seaview scene. It evokes memories for me of Looe and Polperro when, as a child, I used to go on family holidays by the sea. We would pick winkles (or Kewins as we call them) around the rockpools and go crabbing off the harbour side in Looe holding onto the solid vertical timbers to stop us from falling in. There were always scraps of old fish from the fish market close by to use as bait for the limitless supplies of young crabs that clung on for dear life as we hauled up our string lines to fill our buckets before throwing them all back in and starting again. Do kids still do these kinds of things these days?
